Dr. Nathalie Henderson is a 2003 St. Louis TFA Alumna and spent 12 years in St. Louis Public Schools as a special education teacher, assistant principal, principal intern, principal. She is currently the Executive Vice President, Corps Member and Alumni Leadership Development for Teach For America where she leads the full scope of the programmatic work for corps members from preservice to alumni hood. Prior to joining Teach For America, she was the Chief Schools’ Officer in Indianapolis Public Schools, Area Superintendent of the Central Learning Community in Fulton County Schools in Atlanta, Georgia and Instructional Leadership Director for the Oklahoma City Public Schools. Dr. Henderson has been recognized for her transformative work in K-12 education and is the recipient of the St. Louis Public Schools Pettus Principal of Excellence Award, The St. Louis American Excellence in Education Award and the National Women’s Empowerment Network Educational Leadership Award. She earned a Ph.D. from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, an Ed.S. from the University of Missouri-Columbia, an M.Ed from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and a B.A. from Spelman College. Dr. Henderson is also a graduate of AASA/ Howard University’s Urban Superintendents Academy and Teach For America’s School Systems Leaders Fellowship and is currently participating in the Pahara Fellowship and Council of Great City Schools Michael Casserly Urban Executive Leadership Institute.
