Max Garrick

Max Garrick is the AI Product Manager and Assistant Director of Executive Applications at UC Irvine's Office of Information Technology. With over two decades of experience at UC Irvine, Max has served in roles ranging from software development to systems architecture to management. He currently leads product management for the ZotGPT initiative, which has deployed generative AI tools across campus, including an AI chatbot for staff, faculty, and students; ClassChat for classroom engagement; ScholarConnect to elevate faculty research profiles; and the upcoming ZotGPT Creator, empowering users to build AI chatbots tailored to their own data. Max oversees application and database development teams for academic affairs and executive management, with a focus on innovation and collaboration. He is passionate about advancing AI initiatives in higher education and fostering partnerships with other universities.
