Matthew Spengler

Matthew J. Spengler is the Founding Executive Director of Blueprint Schools Network and Superintendent of Felix Commonwealth Virtual School in Massachusetts. He has over 30 years of experience leading school improvement, district partnerships, and innovative school design efforts nationwide. Spengler has worked with major urban districts including Boston, Houston, Oakland (CA), and Denver, and previously held leadership roles at Harvard University’s Education Innovation Lab, Lighthouse Academies, and Big Picture Learning. He began his career as a high school English teacher and founding principal. He holds degrees from Harvard University and the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
