Marcus Brauchli is managing partner of North Base Media, a global venture-capital firm focused on media and technology. Its portfolio includes leading digital players in Indonesia, India, the Philippines and Mexico, as well as global brands like Minute Media, Atlas Obscura, and media-tech platforms like Piano, OpenSlate and Syte. Mr. Brauchli serves as chairman of Blue Ocean Acquisition Corp, a Nasdaq-listed special purpose acquisition company, and is on the board of Gremi Media, a business-media company listed on the New Connect Market of the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Before co-founding NBM, Mr. Brauchli was The Washington Post’s executive editor. Mr. Brauchli came to the Post from a long career at The Wall Street Journal, where he spent 24 years as a foreign correspondent and editor. He was the Journal’s top editor in 2007, when its parent company, Dow Jones, was acquired by News Corp.
