A true third culture kid, Lucy grew up living between the UK and the USA. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Dartmouth College in 2010, where she studied literature and psychology. In 2014, Lucy founded BridgeU, the trusted college and careers guidance partner to international schools in 120 countries. BridgeU's mission is help globally-minded secondary schools and universities to harness the unique advantages of digitally enabled solutions to drive international student mobility. BridgeU's goal is to build greater diversity, opportunity and achievement for students and educational institutions alike.  

Prior to BridgeU’s acquisition by Kaplan in March of 2020, Lucy had raised $12m in venture capital from leading investors in Europe, the U.S. and Asia to drive BridgeU’s global expansion to support regional offices in London, Madrid, Hong Kong, Dubai, Bogota and D.C. Lucy has been labelled an ‘Entrepreneur Role Model’ by the European Commission, and won Tech Entrepreneur of the Year in 2015 at a ceremony hosted at the House of Commons celebrating leading UK female entrepreneurs. In 2016, Lucy was named to the Forbes ‘30 under 30” list.
