Laura Ipsen is president and CEO of Ellucian, the leading technology solutions provider for more than 2,700 higher education institutions worldwide. With more than 25 years of experience as a tech executive in Silicon Valley, Ipsen has deep experience driving transformation and adoption of comprehensive solutions in high-growth industries at Oracle Corporation, Microsoft and Cisco Systems. Ipsen was tapped by private equity firms TPG and Leonard Green & Partners in 2017 to accelerate the growth of the company. Over the next three years Ipsen led Ellucian to drive industry innovation, modernization and scaling the adoption of cloud solutions. Ipsen was named one of The Lancer Group's “Top 25 Women in PE-Backed Companies” and Ellucian’s transformation under her leadership led to a successful sale in 2021 to Blackstone and Vista Equity Partners where Ipsen continues as president and CEO leading the company as part of their long-term growth portfolios. Named one of the Top 100 Influencers in the state of EdTech 2022-2023 Report by EdTech Digest, Ipsen was also recognized in 2021 by Virginia Business as part of the Virginia 500: Power List and the Women Leadership List. In addition, Ipsen was presented a Power of Women Award by ASU+GSV in 2021.Ipsen is a graduate of the University of Virginia and studied Arabic at Yarmouk University in Jordan.
