Kendra has worked in education for 14 years, providing targeted instruction to K-12 and adult Multilingual Learners (MLLS), implementing research-backed scaffolds for language acquisition, and designing inclusive, tech-forward resources and learning spaces for diverse learners. Though she left the NYC Public School system when she moved to Los Angeles in 2023, Kendra continues to prioritize student wellness and success by seeking out opportunities to improve classroom environments as a whole. She believes teachers’ preparedness and wellbeing directly impact student achievement via streamlined teacher work-flows and decreased planning time to increase positive classroom interactions. Currently, Kendra serves as an Educational Consultant for companies seeking her guidance on understanding educational policies, creating tailored resources, and facilitating teacher development workshops. Additionally, Kendra is an Instructor for pre-service teachers in the M.A. TESOL program at Hunter College.
