Kate Eberle Walker is the CEO of Presence, the leading provider of K12 special education technology and teletherapy services. Presence has supported over 10,000 schools nationwide, providing over 8 million essential IEP evaluations and therapy sessions through its network of 2,000+ licensed clinicians, including speech-language pathologists, school psychologists, and other clinical professionals. Special education teams in public, private, charter and virtual schools use Presence technology to deliver outcomes for students. The company is backed by Spectrum Equity, TPG’s Rise Fund and Bain Capital Double Impact. 

Throughout her career, Kate has championed the use of technology to strengthen human connection and expand access to expertise for students. Prior to Presence, she served as CEO of The Princeton Review and Tutor.com, leading nationally recognized providers of test prep, admissions support, and on-demand tutoring. She started her journey in education at Kaplan, a large and diversified global education company, where she led the acquisitions of 70+ companies, invested in 15+ education startups, and launched the Kaplan Techstars Edtech Accelerator. She currently serves on the public board of Barnes and Noble Education and Prospect Schools, and has previously served on several education-focused boards, including Babbel and Rosetta Stone. 

Kate is the author of the book, The Good Boss: Nine Ways Every Manager Can Support Women at Work. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and their two daughters.
