Julian Johnson is the Corporate Manager of DEI and Engagement at Great Wolf Lodge, North America’s largest family of indoor waterparks. In this role, Julian ensures that employees can build meaningful, successful careers, enabling the organization to bring joy to the families who visit any of its 22 lodges nationwide. As the first leader dedicated to this work within the organization, Julian has spent the past four years developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive, brand-wide DEI program, earning Great Wolf Lodge recognition as one of the top workplaces for diversity in the country. His initiatives include internal advocacy, cultural competency, community engagement, and employee development programs, all designed to help the organization better fulfill its mission. Through his intentional collaboration with internal leadership, company ownership, and key stakeholders, Julian focuses on creating resilient, adaptive programs that align with the organization’s evolving needs and broader goals. Before joining Great Wolf Lodge, Julian conducted similar work within the Office of Student Wellness at Miami University, where he led education programs focused on student well-being. His passion for advocacy drives his commitment to building purposeful, actionable programs that empower individuals and create tangible, lasting impact. In his free time, Julian enjoys playing basketball and pickleball competitively and cherishes time spent with friends and family.
