Joseph Sapien, STTE Executive Director and Co-Creator for the LatinX EdTech SummitBorn in El Paso, Texas, in 1980, Joseph's early talent as an artist and entrepreneur set the stage for a transformational journey. Earning a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Animation in 2002, Joseph launched three businesses starting in Seattle, Washington, leading multimedia and brand development campaigns. In 2008, he joined the Workforce Development Board, where he influenced over 50,000 young minds to pursue STEAM careers and entrepreneurship through project-based programs. Joseph has help raised over $5 million in revenue through high-impact marketing and fund development campaigns. He's a pioneer in innovation, leveraging VR, AR, AI and 3D technologies to inspire students through competitions. In 2009, Joseph created the Texas STEM Business Challenge, recognized with the Industry Sector Outreach Award in 2014. Joseph's latest ventures include the world's first Augmented Reality Science Fair, a self-learning AI and AR entrepreneurship phygital textbook called Unicorn Academy, SayWhat.tv, a social-emotional learning news platform addressing teen mental health and the world's first AI Business Model Canvas generator.
