John Rogers

John Rogers is an investor who loves to build companies and teams. He has developed a unique track record over the past two decades as a founding partner for several investment funds focused on software and services in the human capital and healthcare end markets. As a founding partner of TPG’s Rise Fund ($29 billion in AUM), he developed the fund’s investment strategies in education and healthcare and and helped to build the fund’s franchise globally. Over the past 10 years, John led or co-lead investments in DreamBox Learning, InStride, Presence, the Burrell and Idaho Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine, EverFi, Renaissance Learning, APU, IMU, Outcomes First Group, Emeritus and Healthcademia. Over his career, John has built 18 different companies in partnership with leading management teams. Prior to TPG, John led investment strategies for Bridges Ventures, Gryphon Investors and DB Capital where John led investments in Accelerated Rehab, Brightnow! Dental, Strayer Education, Sylvan Learning Systems, Concentra and Fresenius. John earned a BA from Yale University, an MBA from Stanford University and a doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania.
