Jim O'Neill

For 30 years, I’ve worked in education to ensure that every student has access to high-quality learning experiences and that teachers have the tools they need to be successful. As President of Core and Supplemental Solutions at HMH, I focus on designing and delivering instructional materials that are rigorous, research-backed, and, most importantly, practical for real classrooms. Throughout my career, I’ve led teams at Achieve3000, Pearson, National Geographic, and HMH, always with a focus on how technology can enhance, not replace, great teaching. I serve on the board of directors of Amira Learning, an HMH partner company that combines AI and evidence-based instruction to accelerate student reading mastery. I am dedicated to creating solutions that support educators, improve student outcomes, and evolve with the changing needs of schools. With expertise in educational technology, product development, and strategy, I am committed to developing materials that are both rigorous and easy to implement, helping educators maximize instructional time and student engagement.
