Jan Lynn-Matern is a General Partner at Emerge Education, a London-based edtech seed fund focused on companies that address the global skills gap.
Emerge is powered by a community of highly successful edtech operators, education executives and people leaders, who help accelerate its founders to Series A and beyond. Emerge was the first institutional investor in trailblazing companies like Crehana, Engageli and Yoto.
Prior to founding Emerge Education, Jan was an Associate at Chelwood Capital, a boutique impact investment and advisory firm. Jan graduated from New College, University of Oxford, with a first class degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics.
Jan’s mission is to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity and he and his colleagues write essays on the future of education on Emerge’s blog on Medium.
