
Melissa Gomez de la Fuente, DBA, is a digital transformation leader reimagining how AI reshapes higher education. With more than 15 years of experience across global higher education and EdTech ecosystems, she designs scalable, skills-aligned learning systems that integrate adaptive learning, personalized workflow design, and next-generation digital classroom innovation to improve learner mastery and institutional performance. Her work focuses on helping institutions operationalize AI responsibly, aligning academic strategy, product innovation, and enterprise technology to deliver measurable impact at scale. Previously, she partnered with leading universities at Coursera to scale online degree and certificate programs globally, advising institutions on digital growth and program strategy. At Emeritus, she architected the academic and operational delivery model that enabled university partners to successfully launch and scale degree programs worldwide. Mel holds a Doctor of Business Administration from Walden University, an MBA from Hult International Business School, and a Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Industrial Engineering from Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara.
