Emmanuel is the Chief Curriculum Architect at Bootstrap, the largest provider of integrated computing and data science in the US. He founded Bootstrap in 2007, after being a program manager at Microsoft and a math teacher and academic coach at Boston Public Schools. He holds degrees in computer science and curriculum development, and completed his doctoral studies at Harvard with a research focus on using computer programming to teach algebra. Emmanuel is also the founder of CSPdWeek, the co-creator of CSTA's high quality professional development rubric and Data Science for Everyone's "Datasheets for K12 Datasets" rubric, and the co-editor of the book "Improving Equity in Data Science".
