Education Reimagined

Coi Marie Morefield brings over twenty years of experience as an educator, corporate leader, and entrepreneur dedicated to transforming learning for young people and adults. With an MBA in Leadership & Change Management, she has consistently challenged traditional boundaries to create innovative educational models. As founder of The Lab School of Memphis, a PK–8 private school, she built the institution from the ground up into a fully accredited, nationally recognized model of innovation. Under her leadership, the school earned prestigious recognition including the Yass Prize STOP Award, was selected as a Drexel Fund portfolio school, and served as a partner site with Education Reimagined's Learner-Centered Ecosystems Lab. The school’s eventual acquisition by a leading charter and private school operator underscored her belief in collaborative ecosystems that transcend system barriers. Beyond her work as a school founder, Coi Marie serves as Entrepreneur in Residence at The Beacon Center of Tennessee, advancing policies that support learner-centered ecosystems. In 2025, she joined Education Reimagined as Partner for Ecosystems, where she supports school systems and leaders nationwide in building educational ecosystems that serve the evolving needs of young people. She lives in Tennessee with her husband and children.
