Dr. Christina M. Kishimoto is the CEO of Voice4Equity LLC and former State Superintendent of Education in Hawaii, where she served on Governor Ige's Executive Cabinet. In addition to leading her company, Christina serves as a Clinical Professor at the Rossier School of Education at the University of Southern California teaching doctoral candidate students. A native of the South Bronx in New York City, she is a bold advocate for social justice and a national leader on education policy, governance and equity matters. Her work focuses on empowering more women and women of color to become successful superintendents. Prior to being appointed in Hawaii, Christina served as Superintendent in Hartford, Connecticut and in Gilbert, Arizona. She has served on a number of boards including the Council of Chief State School Officers, the Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents where she served as President, and the Nellie Mae Education Foundation. Dr. Kishimoto has thirty years of education experience across three districts, two State agencies and two Universities. In addition, Dr. Kishimoto worked in the private sector in New York City in talent management at a global human resources consulting firm.
