Bozena Pajak

Bozena Pajak is the Vice President of Learning at Duolingo, where she drives innovation at the intersection of learning science, pedagogy, and product development. In her role, she ensures that Duolingo’s educational content and features are grounded in cutting-edge research while seamlessly integrated into the product experience. Bozena holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of California, San Diego, where her research focused on how adults learn additional languages and how learning can be optimized by designing better implicit learning experiences. Prior to joining Duolingo in 2015, she conducted postdoctoral research in Brain and Cognitive Sciences at the University of Rochester and served as a Research Associate in Linguistics at Northwestern University.
