Amruta Joshi

Dr. Amruta Joshi is a technology executive with 20 years experience in Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence. She is currently Global Director for Specialized AI Solutions for Google Cloud, advising Fortune 500 and startup companies to transform their business through Cloud technology and AI-focused innovation. She also serves in an advisory role at Google for Startups and Startups for Sustainability.Amruta's leadership journey has spanned Engineering, Product, and Go-to-Market functions. Prior to Google Cloud, she fueled growth for Google's core consumer businesses, accelerating adoption for Ads Publisher Platform and leading go-to-market strategies for Search and Chrome. Her global perspective is enriched by living and working in both the US and India, and managing teams across the US and Asia-Pacific regions.Amruta earned a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Stanford University and a PhD from UCLA specializing in Information Retrieval. She has several patents and publications to her credit and has served as a program committee member and reviewer at top tier international computer science conferences including ACM VLDB, ACM WWW, IEEE ICDE, and ACM SIGKDD.
