Enikia Ford Morthel

Enikia Ford Morthel is a passionate urban educator and community activist with over 24 years of experience. As the Superintendent of Berkeley Unified School District, Enikia is in her third year leading the district with a focus on instructional coherence and a commitment to the principles of Excellence, Equity, Enrichment, and Engagement. Enikia has worked to transform underperforming schools and has successfully incubated new schools in some of the Bay Area’s highest-need communities.
