Hoa began her service to New York City Schools 28 years ago as a high school science teacher. She later went on to be the founding principal of two secondary schools. Most recently, Hoa served as a Deputy Superintendent in the Bronx and for Brooklyn high schools, before becoming the High School Superintendent for Queens North.
