The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative is a philanthropy that pairs engineering with grant-making impact investing and policy work to help build an inclusive just and healthy future for everyone. Vivian serves on the boards of Andela and BYJU'S. She is a board observer of NewGlobe Eruditus Education Descomplica Verto Education and previously MasteryConnect (acquired by Instructure). Vivian is also on the impact advisory board of Handshake and previously Ellevation Education (acquired by Curriculum Associates). Other investments she has led at CZI include Age of Learning Brightwheel Newsela OpenClassrooms Trilogy Education (acquired by 2U) and Varsity Tutors (NYSE: NRDY). Vivian has over two decades of experience in venture capital and private equity. She was most recently at an Asian family office and previously at TA Associates a global growth equity firm Accel Partners a leading venture capital firm and at Morgan Stanley Capital Partners Asia where she focused on pan-Asia growth investments. She holds an MBA from Harvard University and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in history Phi Beta Kappa and a B.S. in Economics with a concentration in finance Beta Gamma Sigma.
