Christine Devine is a television news anchor in Los Angeles. Christine anchors the p.m. weeknight news for FOX 11. Christine has 16 Emmys, an honorary doctorate degree from Cal State LA, and is in the Hall of Fame at her alma mater, Arizona State University. In 2012, Christine was named in Los Angeles Magazine among the "50 Women Changing LA" for her Wednesday’s Child segment on foster care and adoption. Christine was honored in Washington, DC by Congress as an "Angel in Adoption." Christine has received all of the top three honors in LA journalism, the Governors Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS), Lifetime Achievement from the Radio & Television News Association (RTNA), and the Presidents Award for Impact on Media from the Los Angeles Press Club. On a national level, Christine has two Gracie Awards from AWRT-American Women in Radio and Television, the Anna Quindlen Award for Philanthropy Journalism from the Society of Professional Journalists, and has been honored by the Child Welfare League of America. For more than two decades, Christine has hosted Wednesday’s Child on FOX 11 News. Wednesday's Child is a weekly segment that is a showcase of children in foster care in need of permanent homes. The segment has aired for more than 25 years and more than 455 children have found adoptive families.
