Alisa Sommer O'Hara

Global Head of Learning & Education Partnerships

Google

Alisa is the Global Head of Learning & Education Partnerships and Developer Relations at Google. In this role, she leads partnerships across Google’s education initiatives, including work with edtechs integrating with Classroom and other products, research partnerships to assess the efficacy of Google’s work in education, along with NGO’s, non-profits, and other organizations involved in Google’s work. Prior to this role, Alisa graduated from the JD/MBA program at UCLA, where she studied education law & policy and became passionate about the impact education can have, both on individual students and on society. She spent 4 years at Monitor Deloitte, where she led go-to-market and digital transformation strategy projects across sectors, including work in educational and children’s media. Alisa is passionate about building community and equity and has served in board positions for Da Vinci Schools, LA’s Best, ExpandLA, and the LA LGBT Center's Young Professionals Council. She is from New Jersey and therefore loves nearly anything with red sauce (especially pizza), while her time in Los Angeles has given her a passion for the outdoors, hiking, and (of course) taco trucks.
