Dr. Waiʻaleʻale Sarsona is of Native Hawaiian descent. She holds a B.Ed, M.Ed, MBA and EdD. She serves as the Vice President of Hiʻialo- A unit within Kamehameha Schools focusing on Hawaiian Culture-Based Education and ʻŌiwi Leadership. She works on statewide systems change and community-based partnerships to ensure all Native Hawaiian children and families have access to Hawaiian Culture-based Education. One of her key strategies is to ensure Native Hawaiian children and families continue to have a space and place in the digital world that reflects their identity; cultural language, practices. She works in partnership with others to ensure Native communities have access to higher education opportunities that allows them to serve their community well.
