Ted Brodheim is the Global CIO Advisor for Education at Zoom, serving as a trusted advisor to
colleges and universities, state governors, and learning companies around the world. He has
managed technology for the largest school district in the U.S., the New York City Department of
Education; as well as global Fortune 500 companies including Samsung Electronics America,
JP Morgan, Credit Suisse, and Goldman Sachs. He is recognized for his accomplishments in
using technology to transform K-12, higher education, and adult learning.
As the CIO for the New York City Department of Education, Brodheim oversaw the design and
implementation of innovative K-12 educational programs across 1,850 public schools, which
leveraged technology to support teachers in and out of the classroom while increasing student
and parent engagement. The technology solutions he pioneered have been replicated in school
districts across the nation and around the world.
Brodheim also co-founded StartEd, a leading education and workforce technology accelerator,
which provides emerging companies with access to connections, capital, and customers to help
founders solve the biggest problems in education. Over 2,000 company founders from all over
the world have completed StartEd programs.
