A certified public accountant, Dr. Susan Galbreath is Professor of Accounting at Lipscomb University and has been on faculty since 2001. During her 20+ years at Lipscomb, Dr. Galbreath has served in several leadership roles, including Senior Vice President of Strategy, Vice Provost for Academic and Financial Affairs, Interim Dean of the College of Business, Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning and several other leadership positions within the institution. Galbreath's leadership has driven change and challenged the status quo with an innovative and collaborative approach. In her leadership roles, Galbreath worked closely with the president and the executive leadership team to implement university goals; identify issues in higher education and in the marketplace with potential impact on the institution; and focus on strategic initiatives in academics, technology, human resources, organizational design, process improvement and financial efficiencies. As senior vice president of strategy, Galbreath worked directly with the leaders of University Marketing, Public Relations and Communications, Human Resources and Lipscomb Online in addition to working alongside the president on significant projects and initiatives for the institution. A veteran educator, Galbreath is a recipient of the Outstanding Accounting Educator Award from the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants and has been named a Nashville Woman of Influence by the Nashville Business Journal.
