Founder & CEO
Thanks to a childhood spent traveling with his philanthropist parents across the Middle East and North Africa, Quinn decided at an early age to dedicate his life to that part of the world. This, combined with an early interest in entrepreneurship, led him to start his first impact investment fund at age fifteen, a micro-finance fund focused on the Middle East. After graduating from Pepperdine with a degree in Economics he spent three years working for a large impact investor in the Middle East. During this time, he lived in a refugee slum with five Syrian refugees, learned fluent Arabic, and traveled to over fifty countries. These experiences provided him with unique insights into trends in applied linguistics, virtual reality, and social entrepreneurship that all laid the foundation for Immerse, the startup he founded in 2017. Today Immerse is the premier virtual world for language learning in the metaverse. Thanks to Immerse, students can leverage virtual reality to teleport to a virtual Barcelona to meet with a live Spanish instructor or a virtual Paris to meet with a French instructor. Today Immerse has raised $10.5m, closed a landmark partnership with Meta, built a team of twenty full-time staff, forty language teachers, and closed multi-year licensing contracts with eight of the largest language teaching companies in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, thus gaining access to these education companies' 1.5 million language students.
