Mr. Alphonse is a Senior Partner and Co-Founder of The Vistria Group (“Vistria”). Vistria is a next generation private investment firm with over $7.0 Billion in committed capital and operates at the intersection of purpose and profit. With a focus on the Education Healthcare and Financial Services sectors Vistria partners with middle-market businesses that are passionate about growth and committed to the community. Mr. Alphonse co-leads Vistria’s Education Practice.  Currently he serves on the Board of Directors of ESS Edmentum and MSI Information Services and is a former board member of FullBloom and Penn Foster. He also serves as a board member for the University of Chicago Medical Center P33 Chicago Window to the World Communications Inc. ((WTTW) Chicago’s PBS Affiliate) and Innovation for Equity. Previously he served as commissioner (Mayoral appointee) with the Chicago’s Community Development Commission and as a trustee and member of the Executive Committee for the Roxbury Latin School in Boston. Prior to joining Vistria Mr. Alphonse was a Principal at a private equity fund with approximately $6.0 Billion in assets under management. There he focused on investments in education companies. He previously served as a director for Educate Inc. Educate Online and Infilaw Holding LLC.
