Merrit Jones serves as an Advisor at Student Voice a by-students for-students 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works in all 50 states to equip students as storytellers organizers and partners who advocate for student-driven solutions to educational inequity. She joined the Student Voice team after getting involved in state-wide advocacy efforts as a high school junior when she noticed disparities among South Carolina schools. Since 2015 Merrit has traveled across the U.S. where she has talked with over 10000 students about their experiences in schools. A recent graduate from UNC-Chapel Hill she is now splitting time between DC and her home in South Carolina to work as a fellow at ALL4SC where she does Whole Child Education policy and practice work across the state. In 2021 she was named to Forbes 30 Under 30 for her work with Student Voice.
