Meg Hamel, Director of Learning Initiatives; EdSurge Product Index - Meg leads EdSurge Product Index initiative at ISTE. She has experience managing research projects across preK-20 education and technology, building tools and resources to help school leaders find, select, and use technology, and helping educators take action to make learning better for their students. Previously, she led a project that aims at codifying school and district pain points to understand the gaps in finding appropriate technology. She was also the Principal Investigator for an SBIR research project through IES, which sought to develop a platform to help administrators make smart choices about what technology to use in their schools. Additionally, she led engagement with school and district leaders across the country helping them find the best tools that could help their students through EdSurge’s Concierge. She has a B.A in Art History from Denison University and a B.A in English and M.A. in Education from Virginia Commonwealth University.
