Matthew Gross led the growth of Newsela, the leading K-12 content platform, from inception to over 500 employees and over 40 million registered teachers and students. He has a thirty-year career in education policy and practice, nonprofit and for-profit entrepreneurship, and product development and distribution. Previously, Matthew was Executive Director of the Regents Research Fund, a privately funded affiliate of the New York State Board of Regents and Education Department that helped lead the implementation of Race to the Top-driven education reforms. He began his career as a Teach for America corps member, teaching music at C.S. 50 in the South Bronx. He holds a B.A. from Columbia University.
