Lee Branstetter

Lee Branstetter is a professor of economics and public policy at Carnegie Mellon University, where he directs the Future of Work initiative at CMU’s Block Center for Technology and Society. Branstetter is also a nonresident senior fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics and a research associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research. He served as a Senior Economist at the Council of Economic Advisers in 2011-2012. Before moving to Carnegie Mellon, Branstetter was the Daniel Stanton Associate Professor of Business at Columbia Business School. Branstetter has a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University and a B.A. in Economics and Mathematical Methods in the Social Sciences (MMSS) from Northwestern University.
