Dr. Katie Kay is the Vice President of Healthcare Academics at Emeritus and serves as the inhouse expert for healthcare education. She is a nurse, healthcare leader, academic leader and has built and scaled degree programs and clinical placement operations at the largest nursing school in the US. In her time at Emeritus, she has partnered with leading academic institutions to create high-quality, accessible, and affordable upskilling and reskilling programs to address gaps in healthcare delivery and healthcare leadership. Dr. Kay joined Emeritus in July of 2021 after her previous role as senior director of national academic operations at Chamberlain University. There she was responsible for providing leadership to university-wide academic, quality, and experiential learning initiatives. In her tenure at Chamberlain University, she also held the role of Associate Dean of Faculty in the Master of Science in Nursing Family Nurse Practitioner track. Prior to joining Chamberlain, Dr. Kay was a nurse administrator at a county hospital where her primary areas of leadership included patient safety, acuity management, throughput, accreditation, advocacy for professional nursing practice, and re-attainment of Magnet distinction.
