Kana Enomoto is a Senior Expert in McKinsey & Company’s Healthcare practice. Based in Washington DC Kana works with leaders in public and private sector behavioral health public health social determinants of health and delivery system reform. She co-leads McKinsey’s Behavioral Health Domain and is a Director of the McKinsey Health Institute. Kana has over 20 years of experience as a federal leader in mental health and substance use policy programs data and practice improvement. Prior to McKinsey Kana was the Senior Advisor to U.S. Surgeon General VADM Jerome Adams and provided strategic guidance to the Surgeon General’s efforts to combat the opioid epidemic. She was appointed by HHS Secretary Sylvia Burwell in 2015 as Acting Administrator for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
