Jason Cascarino has dedicated his career to advancing the impact of education and youth serving organizations. For more than twenty years he has held leadership positions in philanthropies and nonprofits in Washington D.C. Boston and Chicago. He is currently a strategic advisor and consultant to a host of local and national nonprofits foundations and higher education institutions. Previously Jason was CEO of Spark Program a national youth mentoring nonprofit. Prior to that he served as COO of The Chicago Public Education Fund a venture philanthropy and as Vice President for External Affairs at CASEL where he led public policy and communication for the nation’s leading organization to advance student competencies in self-awareness self-control social awareness relationship-building and responsible decision-making. Before moving to Chicago Jason was Director of Marketing and New Initiatives for Citizen Schools in Boston a national expanded learning time nonprofit. He began his career in education in Washington D.C. with New American Schools a venture philanthropy that invested in whole-school reform models. Jason was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship for the study of comparative politics in New Zealand. He earned a master’s in international relations from Victoria University of Wellington New Zealand and a bachelor’s in history from the University of Scranton a Jesuit University.
