Emily is an investor at Osage Venture Partners (OVP), an early-stage venture firm investing in entrepreneurs who are building the next generation of B2B software solutions focused on the future of work, education, and care. Some of OVP’s investment that are relevant to ASU GSV include, but are not limited to: ExecOnline, Noodle, Full Measure Education, DeepHow, Transeo, and Hued. Emily spent the first two decades of her career in education. She began her career as a classroom teacher as a Teach For America corps member and later taught at the KIPP Schools. Following her teaching career, Emily spent two years as a special education attorney and then co-founded Practice, an education technology company designed to provide educators a meaningful way to scale apprenticeship style learning and peer-based learning to ensure more competent and confident learners. Instructure acquired in 2017. At Instructure, Emily wore multiple hats including VP of Corporate Strategy and VP of Customer Success. In March of 2020 Emily joined Osage Venture Partners. Emily is a graduate of Drexel Law, the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education, and of the University of Pennsylvania. Emily lives in Philadelphia with her husband and three children.
