Ed Hidalgo is the Chief Innovation and Engagement Officer for the Cajon Valley Union School District. His focus is the design and implementation of the World of Work™ initiative a research-based and integrated model of career development for every child in every grade across the 28 school 16500 student district to prepare every child for the world of work. Prior to his current role he was the director of the world of work initiative at the Jacob’s Institute for Entrepreneurship in Education at the University of San Diego where he worked with researchers to design the theory of change and theory of action for the world of work initiative. This work reflects the initiatives he led at Qualcomm where he worked in human resources staffing and government affairs. As senior director of government affairs he led the development of the Thinkabit_Lab® a corporate makerspace providing thousands of students and teachers exposure to technology and the world of work. Prior to this role he led the global contingent workforce and immigration practice responsible for hiring more than 20000 workers. He also co-founded a career development practice providing one on one and group coaching to increase employee engagement and performance.
