Education Design Lab

Binh brings a unique set of design experiences strategic planning and project management skills to the Education Design Lab. Her work engagements have spanned both K-12 and higher education; in the latter she has done extensive work leading grant-writing and strategic master planning efforts with a number of higher education institutions throughout California. Binh’s work focuses on large-scale design challenges using design thinking and systems driven innovation strategies to improve student success. Currently she is working on the Single Mom Success Design Challenge where employs design thinking methods and tools to help teams reimagine the learner experience for single mothers. She also co-led the Seamless Transfer Pathways Design Challenge focused on building a holistic pathway and support infrastructure transfer students transitioning from the two-year to the four-year institution. She is experienced in working with a diverse set of learning populations including online students and working with underserved communities. Her previous engagements includes the Traditional Model Redesign Project (in partnership with the Lumina Foundation and HCM Strategists) Peer-to-Peer Engagement (Western Governors University) as well as various design sprints with Wayne State University Transfermation 2.0 Washington State Guided Pathways Launch Summit UNCF Career Pathways Initiative and the National Institute for the Study of Transfer Students (NISTS) Conference.
