Former Ambassador to the United Nations and Prime Minister's Special Envoy to Francophone Africa, Amanda Ellis currently leads Global Partnerships & Networks for the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Futures Laboratory at Arizona State University. Amanda held senior roles at the World Bank (where she managed the President’s Global Private Sector CEO Leaders Forum), the International Finance Corporation, and Westpac Banking Corporation as well as serving as New Zealand's Head of Development with a focus on the Pacific. The author of two best-selling Random House business books and five research titles on gender and growth in the World Bank Directions in Development series, Amanda is a founding member of the Financial Alliance for Women, and recipient of the TIAW Lifetime Achievement Award for services to women’s economic empowerment and the East-West Center Distinguished Alumni Award.
