While many ways of improving education claim to be "research-based," the fact is those rare occasions when research does produce clear-cut findings, whether those findings are likely to apply in other contexts is far from clear. The main aim of this interactive session, then, is to equip school leaders with a series of questions that they can use to determine which research findings are likely to be relevant to their context, whether implementing those findings is likely to be a good use of teacher and student time, and whether the proposed innovation can be effectively implemented in the district.
