During this session, we will discuss a transformational project taking shape at Arizona State University (ASU) called Dreamscape Learn (DSL). DSL is a collaborative venture between Dreamscape Immersive and ASU, merging the most advanced experiential pedagogy with the entertainment industry's best cinematic storytelling through virtual reality (VR). DSL delivers unique VR labs and world-class pedagogy that is accurate, scalable, and emotionally engaging. We will discuss the DSL project, long-term goals, and current research efforts being carried out from the Action Lab. Action Lab, situated at EdPlus ASU, is a learning laboratory dedicated to scholarly defensible research. As a part of our learning laboratory's philosophy, we value sharing research findings frequently to foster an open dialogue about teaching and learning research aimed at impacting educational practice. Action Lab's early findings mark a pivotal point in the pedagogical structure of undergraduate introductory biological science courses at ASU. With this in mind, we weave together a discussion about DSL, learning with and through transformational technology, and the potential impacts of learning with emerging technology in the 21st century.
