Into the Future: Innovative, Interactive & Technology Centered Approach to Cultural Proficiency PD

While many K-12 and higher education institutions acknowledge the importance of inclusive schools, most educators enter the profession with little to no formal training on recognizing, addressing, and reducing their own biased mindsets, attitudes, and practices. This workshop will demonstrate how culturally proficient pedagogy can be integrated into districts' professional development and higher educations' curriculums and/or preparation programs to minimize the biased mindsets and practices of pre-service and in-service educators through interactive simulations that provide real-time conversations and feedback to participants.
