From System Impacted to Impacting the System—Creating Better Outcomes for the Formerly Incarcerated

How can we best support formerly incarcerated people in their return to the workforce? Join career exploration nonprofit and award-winning production company Roadtrip Nation and justice reform organizations The Just Trust and Stand Together Trust as they present powerful insights and content from their new initiative: The Formerly Incarcerated Roadtrip. Centered around the stories of three formerly incarcerated adults as they embark upon a life-changing road trip to explore careers after incarceration, this discussion will explore how organizations, policy makers, employers, and families can work together to support formerly incarcerated people through reentry. This panel will feature Hugo, London, and Cordero—the three formerly incarcerated adults featured in Roadtrip Nation’s upcoming documentary about this project. They will be joined by The Just Trust’s associate program lead Aly Tamboura, and Stand Together’s senior fellow Vikrant Reddy. The panel will be hosted and moderated by Roadtrip Nation’s president Mike Marriner and associate director of program management Nicole Woodworth.
