A new design for local opportunities and national impact - the promise of the ASU Local model

With thousands of students—particularly students from low-income households, first-generation and students of color— currently excluded from the opportunities that a university degree provides, the college experience must be redesigned to be more accessible and affordable while dramatically improving the success of students in college, career and life. The ASU Local model reshapes the landscape of higher education for underserved learners and their families by offering the opportunity to stay connected to and grow their home community while pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a major public research university. Join our panelists to learn about the current successes and challenges of the ASU Local model and hear analysis on the model’s potential for lasting impact on the US higher education system and thousands of net new learners who will be welcomed into degree pathways nationwide.
