In its second year, the GSV Cup Competition is a call for early stage education and talent tech companies to apply to be one of the “Elite 200” presenters at the 2020 ASU GSV Summit from August 9-11, 2021 in San Diego and virtually. Those companies selected to be among the “Elite 200” will then compete to win the GSV Cup. The finalists will compete on StageX at ASU GSV XI and take home prize package totaling $550,000 and $450,000 Google Cloud credits.
The competition is open to both U.S. based and international companies in the education and digital learning sector across Prek - Gray. Startups who are pre-seed or seed stage by March 31st, 2021 are eligible to apply.
The top 200 pre-seed and seed PreK to Gray digital education and skills companies chosen out of the pool of GSV Cup applicants. All companies in the “Elite 200” will receive a comped ticket to the ASU GSV Summit for the CEO/founder from the company, as well as a special entrepreneur rate for the presenting company team. Please note, if you were a finalist last year and received a comped ticket that rolled over to 2021, you will not receive a second comped ticket.
The application is due March 31, 2021 at midnight PST.

Leading Global Venture Capital firms and strategic partners in the education and talent space will be judging.
Unfortunately, no. We cannot disclose who judged your application unless the judge decides, on their own, to reach out to a company they have judged.

Once selected as an “Elite 200”, we may be contacting you to obtain additional information to evaluate GSV Cup Finalists. We will determine the finalists at the ASU GSV Summit in August. The finalists will compete for the GSV Cup on Stage X on August 11th for $550,000 in prize money and $450,000 in Google Cloud credits.
Judges will focus on the “5 P’s”: People, Product, Potential, Predictability (Milestones/roadmap), and Purpose (what is the corporate mission)
