Who attends the ASU GSV Summit?

We expect 5,000 leaders in attendance including 500+ Learning and Workforce technology CEOs from across the globe, 400+ investors representing $5 trillion in assets, 500 PreK-12 leaders, 500 Higher Education leaders, 400+ Chief Learning and Talent Officers, Policy Makers and Foundation Leaders, Social Entrepreneurs and many more leading minds.

Accepted Payment Method

We accept American Express, MasterCard or Visa as our preferred method of payment for our online registration and onsite at the event.

Non Profit Status

To qualify as a 'Not-for-Profit' (NFP) attendee, you must meet the following requirements.

• You are required to provide a 501c3 number
• This number is government issued and is tax-exempt
• Most numbers are nine digits (12-3456789)

This status applies to majority U.S. based educational institutions and government agencies. If you are traveling internationally, your government may have a different NFP policy in place. You will need to confirm with the administrator at your place of business. We essentially need some sort of government documentation or ID# that verifies your not-for-profit status.

If you qualify, please select the NFP attendee type and enter in your 501c3 number or identification number. Should you need any further assistance, please email kerry@gsv.com.

Cancellation Policy

No refunds will be granted. If you are unable to attend, you may substitute another individual in your place for a $50 processing fee. In order make a name change, we ask that the original attendee send us an email to authorize the change.

The ASU GSV Summit has had a no refund policy since inception as articulated on our website, reiterated during the payment process for registration and cited below.  We understand that individuals and companies may make decisions not to attend ASU GSV 2020 but we are unable to modify the refund policy.  We apologize for any inconvenience or hardship but we make substantial non-cancelable financial commitments to our vendors and partners in order to continue to host the ASU GSV Summit each year. We are unable to abrogate those financial commitments.

The registration list will be made only to those who are attending the summit via our mobile app.

Registration, Hotel Reservations and Logistics


Is the 2020 ASU+GSV Summit cancelled?
No! Out of an abundance of caution, we have postponed the Summit. Our 2020 summit will now take place September 29th, September 30th and October 1st, 2020.

Can I still access the mobile application over the summer and before the Summit?
Yes! We are in discussions with Cvent (our app provider) as we speak with a goal of keeping our app open for our community until the 2020 Summit in September.

Will my registration transfer to the new summit 2020 dates?
Your summit registration will automatically transfer to the new 2020 dates. There is nothing you need to do.

I cannot make the new 2020 ASU+GSV Summit dates, can I cancel my registration?
While the summit has a no-refund policy, you will be able to transfer your registration to another individual and we will waive the $50 transfer fee.

Will my hotel room reservation transfer to the new 2020 dates? Can I get a refund on my hotel room if I am unable to attend or need to change my existing hotel reservation?
We are currently partnered with the Manchester Grand Hyatt, Wyndham San Diego, Westin San Diego and Omni San Diego. We are working with our hotel partners to accommodate the transfer of hotel reservations to the new Summit dates. More information will be provided once we are able to confirm the reservation transfer process. Please be patient with us as we work out the details and will provide you more information as soon as possible. Please refrain from contacting your hotel until we have a process in place and hotel registration staff is informed.

How and when can I contact the Manchester Grand Hyatt?
The Manchester Grand Hyatt is actively working on moving guestroom reservations to the new dates, all prepaid nonrefundable deposits will remain with the reservation when moved.  
A revised confirmation will be emailed to your email address on file within five (5) business days.  
At that time, if you need to modify your new reservation dates or change the name on your reservation, please click the “modify reservation” link.  
If you need to cancel your hotel accommodations, please also wait for the revised confirmation email and click “cancel reservation”.
Should you have additional questions or needs please email the request to Sandiego.grand@hyatt.com and a response will be provided within 24 hours.

September 28th is Yom Kippur, will Summit events coincide with my ability to observe the holiday?
We are aware that the Summit is starting on September 29th, the day after Yom Kippur. We are doing everything possible to ensure that those of the Jewish faith are able to fully observe the holiday and attend the Summit.

Can I re-book my airfare?
Please contact your airline. Many airlines are waiving the change fee for flights.

When will summit 2021 take place?
The 2021 ASU+GSV Summit will take place on April 19th, 20th and 21st in San Diego.

Program

Will the agenda timing be the same? Will the summit start and end at the same times?
We’re working with all parties involved to adjust and will share details once we’re able to provide them.

I am a summit program participant, will that change for summit 2020?
If you are part of the 2020 program, we definitely want you to stay on the program. In the coming weeks, the GSV team will be reaching out to confirm your participation. We have a ton of amazing programming planned, and we’re hoping to preserve as much as possible at the summit!

I have previously cancelled my participation, but am now able to participate in the program. Can I still participate?
We want everyone to be able to contribute and participate fully if they’re able! We are working on re-confirming program participation and hope we can accommodate everyone.

I cancelled my speaker registration, but now I can come, do I need to register again?
Yes! Please email dana@gsv.com for next steps.

I was really excited to see Bill Nye and Malcolm Gladwell, will the speakers and keynotes be the same?
We’re working our best to replicate the program for the postponed date and will have additional information in the coming weeks.

Scholarships

I have a complimentary registration through one of the ASU GSV scholarship programs. Will my registration be transferred to the new dates?
Yes, your existing registration will automatically transfer to the new 2020 dates. There is nothing you need to do.

I had a hotel room booked at the Wyndham through a scholarship. Will my hotel reservation transfer to the new 2020 dates? If I need a different number of nights, how should I make that change?
Yes, your hotel room reservations will transfer to accommodate the new dates. As the event has shifted from a Mon-Wed to a Tues-Thurs pattern, we will adjust your registration accordingly (e.g., if you booked a hotel room for Monday and Tuesday nights, your new reservation will move to Tuesday and Wednesday nights). If you need to make a change to your hotel reservation, please wait for additional communication from your GSV scholarship coordinator to confirm that the hotel is ready to receive changes.

Will ASU GSV still cover my airfare for the new 2020 dates?
Will still be covering airfare for everyone whose airfare was booked by us through FROSCH.

My flights were booked through FROSCH Agency. What do I need to do to change my flights for the new 2020 dates?
We are working with FROSCH on a procedure for making itinerary changes for the flights booked through their agency. Please wait for further communication.

I canceled my scholarship registration in the past two weeks. Can I re-register for the new dates?
Yes, you will be able to re-register. Please reach out to your GSV scholarship coordinator for more information.

If I can’t attend on the new dates, what do I need to do to cancel (registration, flight, hotel)?
If you will not be able to attend in September, please wait for further communication in the next couple of weeks on how to cancel.

If I can’t attend, can I transfer my scholarship to another leader in my organization?
If you are currently registered through a scholarship and will not be able to attend our new September dates, there will be an opportunity to transfer your scholarship. Please wait for further communication on how to do so.

Presenting Companies

Presenting Companies (GSV Cup, A+ and Growth)

I’ve already canceled my presentation. Can I still present?
Yes, especially if you canceled in the last three weeks we will do our best to accommodate additional company presentations. We’ll have more information soon and our team will reach out to all companies.

If I am raising capital and my stage has changed, will I be moved within the programming?
We will evaluate on a case by case basis, but likely yes.

Will my registration be automatically transferred? Will I be able to update my speaker profile?
Yes to both questions.

Will the format of the GSV Cup be the same?
We’re working internally, but likely yes. We will have the event in the same format as before. The team will be in contact with more information.

Sponsorship


I’m a sponsor of the 2020 ASU+GSV Summit – will my sponsorship automatically be moved to the rescheduled September dates?
YES!  Your sponsorship will automatically be moved to the new Summit dates.  We will work to ensure a seamless rollover of your sponsorship assets and, in cases, where there may have to be some minor adjustments, we will work together to ensure the optimum outcome.  We appreciate your patience over the next several days as we finalize many outstanding issues.  We will reach out shortly to further discuss an implementation plan.
