To qualify as a 'Not-for-Profit' (NFP) attendee, you must meet the following requirements.
• You are required to provide a 501c3 number
• This number is government issued and is tax-exempt
• Most numbers are nine digits (12-3456789)
This status applies to majority U.S. based educational institutions and government agencies. If you are traveling internationally, your government may have a different NFP policy in place. You will need to confirm with the administrator at your place of business. We essentially need some sort of government documentation or ID# that verifies your not-for-profit status.

No refunds will be granted. If you are unable to attend, you may substitute another individual in your place for a $50 processing fee. In order to make a name change, we ask that the original attendee send us an email to authorize the change.
The ASU+GSV Summit has had a no refund policy since inception as articulated on our website, reiterated during the payment process for registration and cited below. We are unable to modify the refund policy. We apologize for any inconvenience or hardship but we make substantial non-cancelable financial commitments to our vendors and partners in order to continue to host the ASU+GSV Summit each year. We are unable to abrogate those financial commitments.

Is the 2020 ASU+GSV Summit cancelled?
No. ASU+GSV 2020 will be a virtual event held on September 29th, September 30th and October 1st, 2020.
What is ASU+GSV 2020/2021 Membership?
Membership includes a ticket to the virtual ASU+GSV Summit from Sept. 29-Oct 1 & 8, 2020, the ability to invite 5 colleagues to the 2020 Virtual Summit, a ticket to attend the in-person ASU+GSV Summit in 2021, access to two dedicated Spotlight Summits for K-12 and Higher Education on October 8, and monthly Summit Series continuing through April 2021.
How can I access ASU+GSV 2020 Virtual?
If you are currently registered for ASU+GSV 2020, you will receive an invitation to the virtual platform prior to September 29th. Please look out for a detailed communication from us.
How can I invite my “Plus 5” to Virtual ASU+GSV 2020?
Within the next few weeks we will send a link to each ticket holder with instructions on how to invite your colleagues to Virtual ASU+GSV 2020.

How do I update information from my original registration?
If you need to update your contact information, you may do so here.
Will my hotel room reservation transfer to the 2021 dates? Can I get a refund on my hotel room if I am unable to attend or need to change my existing hotel reservation?
The Hyatt team in San Diego will transfer your reservation automatically to the 2021 event. If you wish to cancel your hotel reservation, they will refund your reservation and no one will be billed a cancellation fee. When you receive your modified confirmation email from the Hotel, with your new dates of stay for 2021, at that point, you will have an option to select “cancel reservation”. After selecting this, you should expect refund of deposit in 7-10 business days and a copy of the folio will be sent to the email on file. If you wish to modify your dates of stay for 2021, you will also have this option through your modified confirmation email that you receive. You will continue to have the ability to modify and/or cancel your reservation for 2021 up to thirty (30) days prior to arrival.
Can I re-book my airfare?
Please contact your airline. Many airlines are waiving the change fee for flights.
What is the schedule for the virtual summit?
ASU+GSV Virtual will run from 11-4 pst on September 29-October 1st, 2020. Sessions will also be made immediately available for replay in other time zones. Our full program agenda will be posted shortly.
Will all 2020 ASU+GSV Summit programming be included in Virtual ASU+GSV 2020 ?
We are working hard to ensure we showcase all the great programming that was set to take place live in San Diego. Some of this programming will happen from Sept 29-Oct 1, some will be spotlighted during special monthly sessions and virtual summits, and some will be moved to ASU+GSV 2021.
Will all the announced keynotes be speaking virtually?
Most keynotes will be speaking virtually.
What are the Spotlight Summits and when will they take place?
There will be K12 and Higher Education Virtual Spotlight Summits on October 8 and monthly programming until April 19-21, 2021 when we meet for ASU+GSV 2021.
Will all sessions be recorded? Where can I locate them?
All virtual summit sessions will be recorded and available within our Virtual Summit platform. Select sessions will also be available on the ASU+GSV Summit website and the GSV YouTube channel.

I have a complimentary registration through one of the ASU+GSV scholarship programs. Will my registration be transferred to the new dates?
Yes. Your existing registration will automatically transfer to the 2021 dates. In addition you will receive access to Virtual ASU+GSV 2020.
I had a hotel room booked at the Wyndham through a scholarship. Will my hotel reservation transfer to the 2021 dates? If I need a different number of nights, how should I make that change?
Your hotel reservations will not be transferred to 2021. New hotel reservations will need to be made. Please watch for further communication from us on booking your room.
Will ASU+GSV still cover my airfare for the new 2021 dates?
ASU+GSV will still be covering airfare for everyone whose airfare for 2020 was booked by us through the FROSCH Agency. We are working with FROSCH on a procedure for making itinerary changes for the flights booked through their agency. Please wait for further communication.
I canceled my scholarship registration. Can I re-register for the 2021 dates?

If I can’t attend ASU+GSV 2021, what do I need to do to cancel (registration, flight, hotel) and can I transfer my scholarship to another leader in my organization?
If you will not be able to attend ASU+GSV 2021, please reach out to your GSV scholarship coordinator.
Now that ASU+GSV is Virtual, will I still be able to compete for the $250K of non-dilutive capital?
Yes! We were so sorry to have to postpone the GSV Cup with the advance of COVID-19 but the competition –AND its $250,000 in prize money!! –will be moving online in August. We will be asking for you to submit an updated video which for many will have some very strong COVID-19 updates. We will again host online judging winnowing the group of 200 great companies down to a set of finalists who will compete in front of a live virtual audience on October 1 to determine the 3 prize winners.
Am I slotted to speak at the same time/date?
No. You will be asked to pre-record your presentation and submit it to us for an additional round of judging. Finalists will pitch live at the closing event on October 1, 2020.
When is my video due?

If I am selected for the Elite 200 for 2021 as well, will I receive an additional complimentary ticket?
Unfortunately no, but you will have the opportunity to be showcased in the 2021 event.
I also purchased an entrepreneur ticket. Will it transfer to 2021
Yes! While we will re-run the GSV Cup for 2021, all all ticket holders for the 2020 event will automatically transfer to 2021. In addition, you will receive premium membership to ASU+GSV which includes attendance at the 2021 ASU+GSV Summit as well as “PLUS 5” attendance (5 additional virtual summit invitations) at the ASU+GSV Virtual Summit September 29-October 1.
If I am raising capital and my stage has changed, will I be moved within the programming?
We will evaluate on a case by case basis, but likely yes.

I see that each paid attendee receives “PLUS five” (5) additional virtual summit passes AND corresponding registration for 2021, does that apply to the registrations in my current sponsorship package also?
Yes. Each registration included in your sponsorship contract consists of an ASU+GSV premium membership which includes attendance at the 2021 ASU GSV Summit (planned for April 19-21 in San Diego) as well as “PLUS 5” attendance Virtual ASU GSV 2020, September 29-October 1.
